Choosing Your Perfect Kitchen
Our Process Ensuring a Smooth Project
It’s important to us at Cræft, that every last detail is right. Our experienced and expert designers are on hand to make this process as easy – and enjoyable – as possible.
We realise that replacing a kitchen or any home renovation work creates upheaval, and although we know you will be delighted with the results once we’ve completed the work, it is a project that needs considered planning and clear communication from the very start. So, it’s reassuring to know that over the years we’ve created a proven process that will get the work done in a timely, cost-effective way with the minimum of inconvenience to you and anyone living with you.
It all begins with a phone call, email or a visit to our Interiors shop in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
01
Consultation
We’ll start the journey with a personal home design appointment. We will go through the ideas and requirements you have. It is important to establish your vision and budget and our range of options that will meet them.
If you have any previous drawings, plans or “mood boards” now would be a great time to share these. To promise accuracy, we will always take our own measurements at this stage and discuss required time scales for the project to avoid disruption as much as possible.
During the initial home design appointment, we will provide sample doors and brochures to help with your specification and style requirements.
02
Line Drawings
Once you’ve chosen the elements that will make up your new bespoke kitchen, we’ll begin line drawings. A design that reflects what has been discussed down to the finest details. We use line drawings at this stage as it identifies the size, layout and scale of the space and what works best for you.
After you’ve had time consider, we shall revisit the plans with you. Looking at each element in detail to ensure we have captured everything you need and want. We will confirm doors, worktops and appliances you have chosen. We appreciate that not all appliances and worktops suit everyone. Customers tend to have individual needs and budgets which means we can advise the best possible options based on these criteria.
If necessary, we’ll then produce further line drawings and plans to incorporate any changes, and once we have a final agreement from you on the design, we’ll produce a quotation based on the plans we’ve presented to you.
03
3D & Plan Presentation
The final exciting step is to bring your space to life…
We will present to you, 3D High-Definition Renders. We want to provide as real a visual for you as we possibly can which is why we include your flooring, wall colours and lighting. This final process can be held in your own home or better still we can make you a tea or coffee or pour you some fizz whilst you enjoy your designs at our interiors shop in Budleigh Salterton, Devon.
We work closely with our clients until every small detail is defined.
04
Initial Order
When the plans and cost of your new bespoke kitchen are agreed, we’ll provide a straightforward contract for you to sign, which sets out the scope, terms, and cost of the project.
At this time, we will also ask you for a deposit and discuss the timelines for, and management of, the installation. Your kitchen installation will be carried out by our highly trained and expert fitters and overseen by one of the Cræft owners.
